WiLD Pathfinders

In GetWiLD Leadership, Wild Pathfinder by Göran Gennvi

In recent years, the media has given increasing attention to themes dealing with nature’s meritorious ways of healing and rehabilitation, as well as nature and environmental awareness. But also nature as a classroom, office, and teacher. Not least, the Japanese concept of ”forest bathing” has gained a strong foothold. This has created a demand for training for those who want to invest in their own growth and personal development, but also, when the opportunity arises, offer themselves as a guide in the environment in which they live and work.

Over the years, hundreds of people have participated in the program, which has come to be called Pathfinder. Several of these guides have served as leaders at activities Nature Academy has been committed to leading, with at most just under two thousand participants. After some pressure, we were asked if we would consider arranging this training again. We are therefore pleased to be able to offer the WiLD Pathfinder program again. See the film below:

WiLD Pathfinder Training
Humans have evolved over hundreds of thousands of years into complex creatures with a fantastic ability to develop our lives with nature as our home, classroom, and teacher. Over the millennia, we have spread across the planet and understood, adapting our lives to the most diverse landscapes and environments. However, we have become increasingly separated from nature and the landscape in recent centuries. Our ancestors’ knowledge and skills to live in balance with the surrounding landscape contain the source code and a way to find our way back to the sense of belonging we evolved with and long for. These skills are essential, powerful, and revolutionary.

For more than 30 years, we have offered programs for people with a special interest in personal development, using nature as their classroom and teacher. The starting point of the training is the evolutionarily shaped and deeply inherited inner ”source code” for development and survival necessary for the development of self-leadership, the penetration of the inner compass, and the development of one’s transformative abilities.

Learning by doing
Experiential learning is the backbone of our approach and is built into our methodology.
Why experiential learning? It’s powerful, the lessons are for life, backed by proven research and our own experience. Since 1992, thousands of participants have developed their self-leadership to lead and be resources in their communities

Presence training – calibrating the source code
The source code is our deep-seated survival, adaptation, and renewal code.

  • to be steady in the ”base stance” and act quickly and easily in deep presence,
  • to be able to notice and act on the weakest signals with finely honed perception
  • to free ourselves from the illusion of predictability with well-developed, clear vision,
  • to maneuver with security and determination in the face of unpredictability and uncertainty!

Transformative Learning
We have coached thousands of leaders and organizations to be better equipped when everything changes rapidly in times of high unpredictability and complexity. Now more than ever, it is necessary to be open, aware, and responsive to act with laser-focused clarity in the face of challenges and opportunities, from moment to moment!

Teachers and soursers for inspiration
A number of inspirers, teachers, and wisdom bearers are and have been involved in these programs, both in Sweden and internationally. Both recognized wisdom bearers in their respective cultures of origin, but also recognized researchers, thinkers, cultural workers, and leaders from business, politics, and civil society.

For whom
These programs are primarily for those who want to find a natural and straightforward path to health and improved mental and physical performance. You will learn to deepen your relationship with the inner, outer, and true nature and achieve the different states of mind we were created for, but today are often cut off. We develop a heightened sense of presence with a laser-sharp ability to notice and perceive what is happening in every moment, within and around us.

Through evolution, human senses have been fine-tuned to react quickly to dangers and opportunities in our struggle for existence. In our urban environment, however, many of our senses have become dormant. Fortunately, there are techniques to awaken them again if you learn from those who have never forgotten. The fruit of learning to communicate with nature is increased well-being, leading to a feeling for nature that motivates us to take greater responsibility for the environment and conservation.
